Hello Grade 2/3 Students & Parents,

I am excited to watch your child grow socially, emotionally and academically this year!  A few things that can be done at home to help your child grow academically. Ensure your child reads for 20 minutes a night, those who do expand their vocabulary exponentially! Student have access to Sora at home if they need books to read, as well as can checkout 2 books a week from the library. Practice math facts 10-15 minutes as often as possible, by the end of second grade students should be fluent with automatic recall of their addition and subtraction facts through 10s and by the end of 3rd grade students should be fluent with automatic recall of their addition, subtraction , multiplication and division facts through 10s. Student have access to Mobymax.com which is available when they are home, it's a great tool for fact fluency. Check out what is happening in our class this year in the newsletters below.
