Grade-by-Grade: A Story of Growth

Here is what Indian Township students achieved this winter — grade by grade:

  • Grade 3 Math: +7.4 RIT points. Our youngest students are building a powerful mathematical foundation, rising from a RIT score of 181.8 to 189.2.

  • Grade 4 Reading: +12.5 RIT points, +17.8 national percentile points — leaping from the 30th to the 48th percentile in one trimester. That is nearly the national average, achieved in a single season of learning.

  • Grade 5 Math & Reading: +11.1 RIT points in Math and +11.2 in Reading simultaneously. Grade 5 students surged from the 37th to the 54th percentile in Reading above the national median.

  • Grade 6 Math: +6.0 RIT points of real skill growth. Steady, consistent, and impressive.

  • Grade 7 Math: +7.7 RIT points, rising from the 31st to the 39th percentile. These students have genuine mathematical capacity.

  • Grade 8: Math and Reading held steady. These students are preparing for the transition to high school.

“When Passamaquoddy students in Indian Township School gain eleven RIT points in both Math and Reading in a single trimester, they are not just growing academically — they are making a statement about who they are and what they are capable of. We could not be prouder.”
